2027 EU-FIB.net Workshop

The 2027 EU-FIB.net workshop will take place September 6-9 in beautiful Odense, Denmark at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).

2026 EU-FIB.net & RIANA Summer School

EU-FIB.net and RIANA jointly organise this training school on the development and application of focused ion beams, hosted by the Ernst Ruska-Centre at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Mornings are lectures covering ion–solid interactions, FIB instrumentation, charged particle optics, FIB-based SIMS, 3D tomography, and cryo-FIB / biological sample preparation. Afternoons are hands-on, in small rotating groups, on the ER-C’s cryo-FIB and plasma FIB instrumentation.

Fifteen participants are selected from submitted abstracts. The registration fee of 300 EUR covers five nights with breakfast in Aachen, the daily shuttle to Jülich, and meals during the school.
